Sunday, July 21 - 4-H Day / Fair Kick-Off

  • 8:00 AM - Noon | 4-H Pancake Breakfast​ in Pearson Center

    • A pancake breakfast served by local 4H Chapters of Jackson County (Open to the community)

  • 9:30 AM | Jackson County Grand Marshal Presentation​ in Pearson Center

  • 9:45 AM | Jackson County Fair Family Presentation​ in Pearson Center

  • 10:00 AM | 2019 Queen Candidate Intro​ in Pearson Center

  • 10:30 AM - Noon | 4-H Music Recital in Pearson Center

    • Enjoy some music put on by the 4H members

  • Noon | 4-H Share-the-Fun in Pearson Center

    • The very popular Share the Fun performances will begin on the stage

  • 1:00 PM | 4H Educational Presentations​ in the Museum

  • 3:00 PM | 4H Clean-up / Set-up Day in Pearson Center

Monday, July 22

  • 8:00 AM | 4H Conference Judging in Pearson Center

  • 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM | Club Booth Set-up in Pearson Center

  • 9:00 AM - Noon | Buckets of Blooms Judging in Pearson Center

 

Tuesday, July 23 - Opening Day / FREE GATE NIGHT

  • 9:00 AM | Dog Show in West Show Barn

  • 10:00 AM | Club Booth Set-up in Pearson Center

  • 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM | Open Class Entry in Pearson Center

    • All entries must be submitted during this time. 

  • 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM | Indoor Exhibits Open in Pearson Center

    • Enjoy a mix of 4H exhibits, open class exhibits and vendor exhibits.

  • 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM | Birthing Center Opens Dairy Barn

  • 6:00 PM | Carnival Opens in Carnival Area

  • 6:00 PM | Parade 

    • The largest fair parade in Iowa proceeds from the Middle School going north on Main Street turning onto Quarry Street to the edge of the fairgrounds and ending in front of the Grandstands

    • (Note: floats throwing candy, etc. do so at their own risk and will be responsible for injuries)​

  • 6:30 PM | Grand Marshal Intro in front of the Grandstands

  • 6:45 PM | Fair Family Intro in front of the Grandstands

  • 7:00 PM | Agri Puppets in the Dairy Barn Area

  • 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM | Special Head throughout Grounds

  • 8:00 PM | 2019 Queen Contest in front of the Grandstands

Wednesday, July 24 - Military Day ($5 Admission for Military with Military ID) 

  • Daily | Special Head throughout Grounds

  • Daily | Birthing Center in the Dairy Barn

  • 8:00 AM | 4H Horse Show in the Horse Arena

  • 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM | Indoor Exhibits Open in Pearson Center

    • Enjoy a mix of 4H exhibits, open class exhibits and vendor exhibits.

  • Noon - 6:00 PM | Penningroth Building in the Machine Shed

  • Noon - 7:00 PM | Hurstville Exhibit in the Museum

  • 1:00 PM | Pet Show in the Open Air Shelter

  • 2:00 PM | Clover Kids Pet Show in the Open Air Shelter

  • 5:00 PM | Tumbleweed Crossing in Family Fun Area

  • 5:00 PM | Power Wheels Pull in front of the Grandstands

    • Cheer on your favorite mini-puller as they compete against each other with a special skid.​

  • 6:00 PM | Agri Puppets in the Dairy Barn Area

  • 6:00 PM | Carnival Opens

    • On the midway, the Evans United Shows bring us games and rides. Tickets and wristbands are provided by them and not the fair office - ticket pricing can be found by clicking HERE

  • 6:00 PM | 4-H Clover Kids Lamb & Kid Show in the South Show Barn

  • 6:00 PM | ECIPA Truck & Tractor Pull in front of the Grandstands

    • Cheer on your favorite Truck and Tractor pullers as they compete against each other with 2 skids.​​

  • 7:00 PM | Tumbleweed Crossing in Family Fun Area

  • 7:30 PM | 4H Clothing Event Program in Pearson Center

 

Thursday, July 25 - Kids Day

  • Daily | Special Head throughout Grounds

  • Daily | Birthing Center in the Dairy Barn

  • 9:00 AM | 4-H Sheep Show in the South Show Barn

    • 4-H Goat Show to follow at the conclusion of the Sheep Show

  • 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM | Face Painting by Amy in Pearson Center

  • 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM | Indoor Exhibits Open in Pearson Center

    • Enjoy a mix of 4-H exhibits, open class exhibits and vendor exhibits.

  • 10:00 AM | 4-H Rabbit/Poultry Auction in the South Show Barn

  • 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM | Indoor Exhibits Open in Pearson Center

    • Enjoy a mix of 4-H exhibits, open class exhibits and vendor exhibits.

  • Noon - 5:00 PM | Car Show South of the Open Air Shelter

    • An annual favorite car show on the fairgrounds where the fairgoers get to vote on the winners!

  • 6:00 PM | Quilt Raffle Drawing in front of the Grandstands
